ClassPin

ClassPin respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same.

This Copyright Policy explains users' responsibilities regarding content submitted to ClassPin and how copyright concerns may be reported to us.

1. User Content and Ownership

Users may upload, photograph, scan, or otherwise submit documents, images, photographs, webpages, and other materials to ClassPin ("User Content").

As between you and ClassPin, you retain any ownership rights you may have in your User Content.

Submitting User Content to ClassPin does not transfer ownership of that content to ClassPin.

Your use of User Content through ClassPin remains subject to the rights of any applicable copyright owners or other rights holders.

2. Responsibility for Submitted Content

You should only submit or process content through ClassPin when you have the legal right, permission, authorization, or other lawful basis to do so.

You are responsible for the User Content you submit and for your use of that content through the Service.

ClassPin's ability to technically accept, store, scan, extract information from, or process content does not mean that ClassPin has determined that your use of the content is legally permitted.

3. Limited Permission to Process User Content

To operate the Service, you authorize ClassPin and service providers acting on its behalf to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, analyze, and display User Content as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service.

This permission does not transfer ownership of your User Content to ClassPin.

Our handling of personal information contained in User Content is also subject to the ClassPin Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Materials

Documents and other materials submitted to ClassPin may contain content owned by schools, teachers, organizations, photographers, publishers, businesses, healthcare providers, or other third parties.

Use of ClassPin does not grant you ownership of or additional rights to third-party content.

Users remain responsible for determining whether they have appropriate rights or authorization to upload, copy, store, or process third-party materials.

5. Copyright Concerns

If you believe content stored or processed through ClassPin infringes copyright that you own or are authorized to represent, you may report the concern to:

  • classpinai@gmail.com

Please provide enough information for us to understand and evaluate the concern, which may include:

  • identification of the copyrighted work involved;
  • identification of the material you believe is infringing;
  • information reasonably sufficient to help us locate the material;
  • your name and contact information;
  • an explanation of your relationship to the copyrighted work or copyright owner; and
  • any other information reasonably relevant to the concern.

This contact method is provided for general copyright concerns and is not represented as a formally designated DMCA agent contact.

6. Review and Removal of Content

ClassPin may review copyright complaints and may remove, restrict, disable access to, or take other appropriate action regarding content that we reasonably believe may infringe intellectual property rights or violate our Terms of Service.

ClassPin may request additional information before acting on a copyright complaint.

Nothing in this Policy requires ClassPin to resolve private disputes regarding ownership or determine the ultimate legal validity of competing copyright claims.

7. Repeat or Serious Infringement

ClassPin may restrict or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate intellectual property rights or ClassPin's policies, where appropriate.

The circumstances of each matter may be considered when determining an appropriate response.

8. Misrepresentations and Abuse

Users and persons submitting copyright complaints should provide accurate information and act in good faith.

ClassPin may disregard or take appropriate action regarding complaints that appear fraudulent, abusive, materially misleading, or unrelated to legitimate intellectual property concerns.

9. No Legal Determination

ClassPin's decision to remove, retain, restrict, or otherwise address content does not constitute a legal determination regarding copyright ownership, infringement, fair use, licensing, or any other legal issue.

Copyright disputes can involve complex legal questions. Parties should seek qualified legal advice when appropriate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Copyright Policy periodically to reflect changes to ClassPin, our practices, or applicable law.

When the Policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date above may also be revised.
